Eligibility & Team Composition

Use Case & Team Slots:

  • There are 8 unique Law Enforcement use cases.
  • Each use case will host 6-8 selected teams.


  • Only one student team will be allowed per use case.

  • This is a high-impact GenAI/Agentic AI hackathon.
  • Only teams with proven expertise in Generative AI or Agentic AI should apply.
  • This event is exclusively for individuals with strong AI backgrounds.

Team Size & Presence:

  • Team must consist of 2 to 6 members.
  • All team members are expected to attend on-site. In rare cases, if a member unable to travel, they may support the team remotely. However, primary participation is expected at the venue.
  • Each team must designate a Team Lead to serve as the main point of contact with organizers.  



Roles & Responsibilities

  • Each member must have a defined role (e.g., GenAI prompts, UI/UX, backend, data handling, coordination).
  • A clear team structure improves workflow and evaluation.
  • Please specify the role and area of expertise for each team member during registration.
  • LinkedIn profiles of all participants are mandatory.
  • You must upload a document showcasing your previous AI work or projects.

  • Primary and optional secondary use case selection

  • Early registration may increase your chances of confirmation and mentor allocation.

Team Screening & Qualification

Evaluation Criteria

  • No Capability screening is required for well-established, nationally or internationally reputed companies.
  • All other teams may be asked to demonstrate technical readiness via a short online interaction or post work showcase.
  • The Andhra Pradesh Department reserves the right to screen team as needed to ensure participation of high-quality teams.

Relevance & Expertise

  • Prior experience in building AI or GenAI system is required.
  • Experience in public safety or law-enforcement domains is highly appreciated.

Information Validity

  • All information provided must be accurate. False claims may result in disqualification and possible legal consequences. 

Costs & Logistics

Fees

  • Participation is completely free for all selected teams.

Amenities Provided

  • Boarding, meals, workspaces, internet, recreation.
  • College dormitories will be made available for participants to freshen up at no cost.
  • Comfortable mattresses will also be provided near the hackathon venue for rest breaks.
  • Teams looking for premium comfort may choose to book commercial hotels in Guntur at their own expense.
  • Pickup & drop facilities from selected airports may be provided based on availability (not guaranteed and cannot be demanded).
  • Participants must bring: 
  • Their own Laptops/devices and charger
  • A valid government-issued photo ID

Use case Assignment



  • Each team will choose 1 primary and 1 secondary use case during registration.
  • Final assignment will be made based on:
  • Team suitability
  • slot availability 
  • Confirmed use cases cannot be changed.

Project Development Guidelines

Code & Tools

  • Teams are encouraged to research, experiment, and build upon existing knowledge, libraries, or public tools.
  • Solutions must reflect meaningful, original work developed primarily during the hackathon.
  • Using open-source tools, pretrained models, APIs, or design frameworks is welcome.

GitHub Protocol

  • Each team will be assigned an official GitHub repository.
  •  All work—including code, documentation, and media—must be committed to this repository only.
  •  External/private repositories are not allowed for final submission.

Required Documentation

  • Technology stack used
  •  Setup instructions
  •  User manual or system overview
  •  Well-commented and logically organized codebase

IP and Licensing

  • By participating, teams grant Andhra Pradesh Police Department, Prism,
    and 4SightAI a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

  •  Use

  •  Modify

  •  Distribute

  •  Build production-scale systems using submitted work

Data Access & Security 

  • Teams will be provided secure, read-only API access to curated datasets.
  • Raw backend access or database credentials will not be shared.
  • Tampering, unauthorized access, or misuse of data will result in immediate
    disqualification.

Communication & Mentorship

Official Channels

  • WhatsApp will be used for all real-time updates, clarifications, and coordination.
  • Team Leads will be added to dedicated WhatsApp groups post selection.

Mentors

  • Each use case will be supported by at least two mentors, including senior officials and IPS officers.

Legal Terms

Participant Behavior

  • Strict zero-tolerance for:
  •  Harassment
  •  Discrimination
  • Misconduct or abuse.
  • The organizers reserve the right to remove any team or individual found violating these norms.

Confidentiality

  • All APIs, datasets, communication, and access credentials are confidential.
  • Sharing or misuse of any internal resource will result in disqualification and legal action.

Legal Jurisdiction

  • All legal matters will be governed under Indian Law, with exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mangalagiri, Andhra Pradesh.

Final Agreement

  • By registering, all participants agree to:
  • Meet the stated eligibility criteria
  • Provide accurate information
  • Follow GitHub, submission, and documentation protocols
  • Respect the judgment of IPS officers and the organizing committee
  • Grant the right to use submitted work as described above
  • Adhere to conduct, confidentiality, and legal terms outlined here
